Main Focus Areas of the Therapeutic Hatha Yoga Teacher Training Programme: -
 |
The goal of the training programme is to give students an in-depth understanding of Mindfulness based Therapeutic Hatha Yoga to empower individuals (including yourself) towards health and wellbeing. Group sizes are small (10-12) ensuring personal attention, coaching and feedback to help you gain confidence through your development and learning. This means that places fill up fast so you need to book your space as soon as possible.
The skills introduced are based on the traditional elements of Yoga including the study of the 5 Koshas (Annamayakosha - the
physical body, Pranamayakosha - the energy body, Manomayakosha - the
everyday mind and emotions, Vijnyanamayakosha - higher mind witness and
intuition and Anandamayakosha - the bliss body) and Pantajalis 8 limbs of yoga (yamas, niyamas, asanas, pranayama, pratyahara, dharana, dhyana, samadhi) to help our understanding of which element or facet of yoga are most appropriate for integrating the mind, body and spirit.
These are then complemented with a broad understanding of the health and healing process both from a Yoga perspective and also within the modern mind-body health movement. This enables you to develop and teach both yoga classes for the general public, and special focus yoga based Health and Wellness programmes. As a Yoga Alliance affiliate Registered School (RYS) we also follow the YA 200hr syllabus, ensuring a high standard of education, ongoing support and mentoring.
