These specially designed programmes for individuals and small groups integrate my skills in modern Mind-Body health and healing therapies with the ancient insights of Hatha Yoga. They focus on promoting positive expectations and as the classes are kept small, you are offered a high level of personal attention. Poses can be adapted for those in wheelchairs, on chairs or even in bed.
You will find that the classes I run differ from many other general Hatha Yoga classes, as they are all specifically written for life´s challenges or with a special theme. I incorporate my skills not only as a Registered Yoga Teacher and Professional Yoga Therapist, but also as a Motivation Coach and Advanced Hypnotherapist and Master NLP Practitioner.
Classes are currently held at the Mindful Clinic in Altea la Vieja, but classes are being arranged in Albir, Altea and La Nucia. Details will be added to the website soon. Please scroll down the page to see the current class list and contact me for available dates and times.

Question 2. What is the difference between Yoga and Yoga Therapy?
Yoga is the ancient science of self knowledge developed in India over 5000 years ago. It is not a religion or a set of extreme exercises to be mastered, but a tool box of many different techniques including many of those listed above. Yoga Therapy is one part of this ancient science that focuses on health and wellness at all levels of the individual, physical, psychological and spiritual to bring balance to your body, mind and emotions. This journey to health is unique to each and everyone of us and as a Professional Yoga Therapist and Registered Yoga Teacher I serve as your guide and mentor on your individual journey of healing and self discovery.
Question 3. What is a Professional Yoga Therapist and what qualifications do you have?
A Professional Yoga Therapist is a registered Yoga Teacher who has undergone further specialised training in yoga for medical conditions. I am a qualified and registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance (Yoga Teachers governing body) at the RYT 500 hour level and a Professional Yoga Therapist and supporting member of the International Yoga Therapists Association.
Question 4. Do I need to have practised Yoga before I start a Yoga Therapy programme?
No, contrary to popular myth, you do not need to be fit, flexible or have practiced yoga before to benefit from Yoga Therapy. Infact the integrative therapies offered by the Mindful Coach private sessions are tailored to meet your exact needs, so yoga poses may not be part of your individual programme.
Question 5. How do I start?
Before your first session or class, you will have a FREE initial consultation with me to discuss your goals, this can either be at the clinic or over the telephone depending on the class you are interested in. We will also complete the confidential forms outlining your medical history, life style, goals and a selection of structural assessments (where applicable). If you have a medical condition, please discuss your programme with your Doctor or Specialist prior to starting.
With Yoga Therapy private sessions, you will find that rather than offering a diagnosis and treatment for a specific condition, following this first assessment, I will select, adapt and modify the practices of modern Mind-Body health and healing techniques and ancient insights appropriately for you with respect to your age, culture, religion, goals and specific physical challenges and conditions.
