Mindful Yoga Therapy is proud to present the Integrative Yoga Therapy (IYT) 200hr Therapeutic Yoga Teacher Training Certification Programme in the beautiful Spanish Mediterranean resort of Albir on the Costa Blanca. This programme has trained over 3000 Yoga Teachers in the USA, Brazil and Canada and is approved by the Yoga Alliance at the 200hr level. Along with offering Yoga classes with a focus on total wellness to the general public, graduates develop and teach special focus Yoga and Wellness programmes (including Stress Reduction, Back Care, Yoga for Women, Weight Reduction, Seniors and many health conditions) in a wide variety of settings including hospitals, businesses and complimentary health care settings. The IYT style of Yoga emphasizes making Yoga accessible to all regardless of age or level of health and wellness. It is a form of Yoga that acknowledges individual differences and encourages adapting and choosing Yoga tools and practices that meet the need of the individual. Because of this emphasis, we have found it to be perfect for body workers, health care professionals and all therapists. It is also open to people with a basic foundation in Yoga and Certified Yoga Teachers who wish to expand their teaching will also find it beneficial. Above all you need to have the desire to help people experience their fullest potential for health and wellbeing. The programme is available as a 3 week Intensive, or a 2 week module and 1 week module. All are completed with a 4 week Internship in your home community, with the support and feedback from Kathy Ward. In total, the programme exceeds the 200hr level outlined by the Yoga Alliance. The next course starts in November, and we only accept 15 students on each training course, so early booking is essential. For more information on IYT Yoga Therapy, please click www.iytyogatherapy.com and you will be taken to their website. If you are looking for a short course specifically for children, click here and check out the Mini Yogis Yoga for Kids weekend course to be held in Barcelona this coming October with world renowned Childrens Yoga Instructor Shana Meyerson. Main focus areas of the Teacher Training programme -
| |
The goal of the training programme is to give students an in-depth understanding of Yoga as a vehicle for wellness. The skills introduced are based on the traditional elements of posture, breath, guided imagery, meditation and deep relaxation. These are complemented with a broad understanding of the health and healing process both from a Yoga perspective and also within the current mind-body health movement.

Individualized Teacher and Learning –
| |
This programme is based in the vision of Yoga using an individualized approach, with the needs of the student at the very heart of each decision. It includes comprehensive and in-depth instruction as well as detailed experiential instruction in the many tools and techniques of Yoga. With this foundation, each graduate is given a range of possibilities allowing them to create their own style of Yoga teaching that is both unique to them, and unique to the individuals they teach.

There will be occasional evening lectures or events after dinner. You will also be expected to prepare for the following days classes. This could be reading, completing reviews of the days learning using quick tests (no surprises) and as the programme progresses, you will also be preparing to teach.
